Today, on Point of View, Penna Dexter is your host. In the first segment, The Stream’s Rachel Alexander joins us to discuss the Presidential Debate. She will discuss who shined on-stage, who stumbled and what to expect from the candidates as they move onto the CNN debate next month.
In the second segment, we are joined by Tim Graham, Media Research Council’s Director of Media Analysis. He will tell us more about beyond the disturbing nature of the Planned Parenthood footage. The Media Research Center has discovered that preceding its expected release, the organization sent letters pressuring reporters and producers to not cover the video. Also joining us on this issue is Amelia Hamilton, a reporter for The Stream who has been following the story since the first video was released. She highlights how the latest video clearly dispels three lies Planned Parenthood has been trying to sell to the public.
In the final segment, we hear from Tim Winter, president of Parents Television Council. He tells us more about a new study indicating that sex actually doesn’t sell, after all. And neither does violence. What this means is that there’s overwhelming scientific evidence that ads using sex and violence to sell products or services may simply be a bad strategy.
